Key Responsibilities

  • Develop AI/ML Models : Design, build, and deploy machine learning models to analyze large datasets, identify investment opportunities, and optimize portfolio strategies.
  • Data Pipeline Development : Create and maintain robust data pipelines to process structured and unstructured data from diverse sources, ensuring high-quality inputs for AI models.
  • Collaboration with Investment Team : Partner with investment professionals to translate business needs into technical solutions, providing actionable insights for deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management.
  • Model Optimization : Continuously improve model performance through experimentation, hyperparameter tuning, and feature engineering to ensure accuracy and scalability.
  • Research and Innovation : Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML, applying innovative techniques to enhance the firm’s data-driven investment strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Support : Work with data engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into the firm’s broader technology ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Experience : 3+ years of experience in either software engineering or AI/ML engineering, ideally in a data-intensive industry. No prior financial services, venture capital, or private equity experience required - ust a passion for applying your skills to finance!
  • Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data pipeline tools.
  • Interest in Finance : A keen interest in financial markets, venture capital, or private equity, with a desire to learn and apply AI/ML to investment strategies.
  • Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
