A Drupal Couple: Writing with AI, not written by AI

18 September Online

About this event

Neither of us is a writer. We have been building websites with Drupal for fifteen years. Carlos is a software engineer, Anilu is a product designer, and until this blog neither of us had ever written for an audience. Add a second language, a technical subject, and readers who are not technical, and that is three barriers stacked on top of each other.

AI is how we get past them. Not by writing for us... it does not write for us. We write. The tools help us get there faster, and with work we are willing to put our names on.

In this session we open the whole process on one real post. How we capture fleeting notes as ideas arrive. The creative brief, where we put the message down in our own words before any draft exists. The tone guide that holds the writing to our voice instead of the model's. We will read a paragraph the model handed us that we threw away, and the one we wrote instead, so you can judge the difference for yourself.

We also do not agree about AI writing. Where the line sits is something we argue about, and we still have to publish together every time. We will have that argument in front of you, because the moments we tell the AI no matter more than the ones where we say yes.

Both of those are plain documents. We built tooling around them so that we actually do it every time, but you do not need any of it to start.

adrupalcouple.us is a Drupal site, published in English and Spanish, written by two people with no editor and no budget for one.

Quick answers about how DevFound's AI matching, resumes, and referrals work.

DevFound's AI Copilot ingests your profile, goals, and live job data to deliver curated matches in seconds. Every match includes a resume variant, suggested referrals, and interview prep so you can act immediately. The more feedback you provide, the sharper the Copilot becomes.

AI-led job searches shrink the hours spent sifting through boards and formatting resumes. DevFound pairs automation with your personal outreach, so you reserve energy for interviews and negotiation. Traditional networking still matters, but AI gives you a lift before you even send a message.

Modern AI roles expect comfort with production-grade code, data fluency, and practical ML tooling. The strongest candidates pair deep technical chops with storytelling—translating model impact to product, GTM, and exec partners. Continuous learning keeps you ahead as stacks evolve.

DevFound rewards active seekers. Keep your profile fresh, respond to match quality prompts, and enable alerts so you never miss a role. The AI prioritizes companies and teams that align with your feedback, accelerating both introductions and interview invites.

High-density tech hubs continue to host the deepest AI talent pools, yet distributed teams are catching up fast. Use DevFound filters to hone in on onsite, hybrid, or fully remote roles and watch openings expand across time zones.

DevFound aggregates thousands of remote AI openings and flags the nuances—core hours, async culture, and visa needs—up front. The Copilot also recommends how to position your distributed work experience so hiring managers know you can thrive on a remote team.
