AI Security Night Lisbon - AI Week - Kick Off Edition

23 September Online

About this event

Hey everyone,
We're launching the Lisbon chapter of the AI Security Engineers Community, timed with Lisbon AI Week. Join us for an evening of talks on the security side of building with AI, plus a chance to meet the local community kicking things off.

Talk 1 - Understanding Prompt Injection Techniques, Challenges, and Advanced Escalation
Speaker: Brian Vermeer (Staff Developer Advocate, Snyk)
As developers, we're embracing AI and large language models (LLMs) in our applications more than ever. However, there's an increasing concern we need to be aware of: prompt injection. This sneaky attack can undermine our AI systems by manipulating the input to produce unintended outputs. In this session, we'll break down what prompt injection really means and look at some common techniques attackers use, like instruction overrides and hidden prompts. But we won't stop there; we'll also explore advanced challenges, including escalation techniques that can exacerbate the risks. Most importantly, we won't just identify the problem - we'll dive into practical steps you can take to mitigate these risks and keep your AI interactions secure.

Talk 2 - TBC
Speaker: Dick Hardt
Dick Hardt is the founder of Hello, focused on simplifying identity for B2B SaaS companies. He was a principal architect of OAuth 2.0 and JSON Web Tokens (JWT), co-founded the OpenID Foundation, and previously led identity initiatives at Microsoft and Amazon. He also founded ActiveState and Sxip Identity earlier in his career.
Talk title and abstract to be confirmed.

Expect real talk about AI security threats, time to connect with Lisbon's AI and security community, and a proper kickoff for what we hope becomes a regular local chapter.

This event is part of Lisbon AI Week (lisbonaiweek.com).

Quick answers about how DevFound's AI matching, resumes, and referrals work.

DevFound's AI Copilot ingests your profile, goals, and live job data to deliver curated matches in seconds. Every match includes a resume variant, suggested referrals, and interview prep so you can act immediately. The more feedback you provide, the sharper the Copilot becomes.

AI-led job searches shrink the hours spent sifting through boards and formatting resumes. DevFound pairs automation with your personal outreach, so you reserve energy for interviews and negotiation. Traditional networking still matters, but AI gives you a lift before you even send a message.

Modern AI roles expect comfort with production-grade code, data fluency, and practical ML tooling. The strongest candidates pair deep technical chops with storytelling—translating model impact to product, GTM, and exec partners. Continuous learning keeps you ahead as stacks evolve.

DevFound rewards active seekers. Keep your profile fresh, respond to match quality prompts, and enable alerts so you never miss a role. The AI prioritizes companies and teams that align with your feedback, accelerating both introductions and interview invites.

High-density tech hubs continue to host the deepest AI talent pools, yet distributed teams are catching up fast. Use DevFound filters to hone in on onsite, hybrid, or fully remote roles and watch openings expand across time zones.

DevFound aggregates thousands of remote AI openings and flags the nuances—core hours, async culture, and visa needs—up front. The Copilot also recommends how to position your distributed work experience so hiring managers know you can thrive on a remote team.
