About this event

Everyone's talking about AI these days — but let's be honest, it can still feel confusing and out of reach. At the same time, AI is becoming too important to ignore, both for us and for our kids. The good news: keeping up with the times is not nearly as hard as it looks.

In this free, hands-on demo class, you and your teen sit down together and build something real. In about 90 minutes, your teen creates their own working app or website — with you alongside them — using AI tools available to everyone today. No coding, no tech background — just curiosity.

What you'll do:
• Get a quick, plain-English intro to what AI actually is
• Your teen builds a working app or website step by step, with AI doing the heavy lifting — and you build right alongside them
• Discover practical, responsible ways teens can use AI for school and creativity
• Ask anything in an open Q&A

Who it's for:
This class is for parents and guardians (18+) who want to understand AI and keep up with the times alongside their kids. You're warmly invited to bring your teen along as your guest — per Meetup rules, anyone under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by their parent or guardian throughout the event.

How to RSVP:
Please RSVP for yourself and add your teen(s) as guests (each parent may bring up to 2). This helps us prepare enough space.

What to bring:
Please bring your own laptop — one per family is enough (you and your teen can share). No prior experience required.
