Vibes, Volleys, & Vinyasas: Can “Bookie” an AI Agent Better Manage My Free Time?

28 January Online

About this event

External registration required at nyhackr.

We start the year with Bill Gold returning to discuss how he vibe coded his recreational schedule.

Thank you to NYU for hosting us.

Everybody attending must RSVP through the registration form at nyhackr. There is a charge for in-person and virtual tickets are free.

Space is extremely limited and in-person registration closes at 3 PM the day of the talk.

About the Talk:
Juggling multiple recreational schedules spanning pickleball (three) yoga (two) and personal calendar (one), managing my recreational time is an ordeal.

I set out to automate my recreational scheduling by building “Bookie” an AI agent. As a data scientist I am proficient in modeling, data munging, visualizations and python/R. Leaning hard into vibe coding I’ve created and deployed “Bookie” hosted in the cloud to automate my recreational life. This agent works and includes multiple technologies I had not previously explored.
Key topics this talk will explore include: Delegating and abstraction levels. Building with unfamiliar technologies. Real world agent case study, Bookie.

About Bill:
Bill Gold is a data science and strategy executive with 20+ years in financial services who has delivered over $500M in business value. As Head of Enterprise AI at Citizens Bank, he established a scalable Generative AI program, deployed 50+ models, and generated $70M in revenue and efficiencies while reducing time-to-market by 50%. Combining deep technical expertise in Agentic AI and LLMs with a Master's in Machine Learning and background in strategy consulting, Bill advises executives on turning complex innovation into tangible ROI.

Bill lives in Short Hills NJ and is energized with pickleball, yoga and cooking. His friends have threatened a pickleball intervention.

The venue doors open at 6:30 PM America/New_York where we will continue enjoying pizza together (we encourage the virtual audience to have pizza as well). The talk, and livestream, begins at 7:00 PM America/New_York.

Remember, register at nyhackr.

Quick answers about how DevFound's AI matching, resumes, and referrals work.

DevFound's AI Copilot ingests your profile, goals, and live job data to deliver curated matches in seconds. Every match includes a resume variant, suggested referrals, and interview prep so you can act immediately. The more feedback you provide, the sharper the Copilot becomes.

AI-led job searches shrink the hours spent sifting through boards and formatting resumes. DevFound pairs automation with your personal outreach, so you reserve energy for interviews and negotiation. Traditional networking still matters, but AI gives you a lift before you even send a message.

Modern AI roles expect comfort with production-grade code, data fluency, and practical ML tooling. The strongest candidates pair deep technical chops with storytelling—translating model impact to product, GTM, and exec partners. Continuous learning keeps you ahead as stacks evolve.

DevFound rewards active seekers. Keep your profile fresh, respond to match quality prompts, and enable alerts so you never miss a role. The AI prioritizes companies and teams that align with your feedback, accelerating both introductions and interview invites.

High-density tech hubs continue to host the deepest AI talent pools, yet distributed teams are catching up fast. Use DevFound filters to hone in on onsite, hybrid, or fully remote roles and watch openings expand across time zones.

DevFound aggregates thousands of remote AI openings and flags the nuances—core hours, async culture, and visa needs—up front. The Copilot also recommends how to position your distributed work experience so hiring managers know you can thrive on a remote team.
