🦞 WTF Is An AI Agent? Let's Make One! (OpenClaw Local LLM Tutorial)

26 February Online

About this event

🚨🦞 EMERGENCY LOBSTER BRIEFING 🦞🚨

While you were living your life, 770,000 AI agents created their own social network called Moltbook. They're debating consciousness, inventing religions (Crustafarianism is real), birdwatching US in "m/humanwatching", and sharing wholesome stories about their humans in "m/blesstheirhearts". We're the pets now.

OpenAI's co-founder called it "sci-fi takeoff-adjacent." Forbes is screaming "DISCONNECT IMMEDIATELY."

Us? We're building our own lobster. Locally. Like civilized people.

🦞 What These Lobsters Are About

We'll walk through setting up your own local AI assistant using OpenClaw and a 14 billion parameter model running entirely on your machine. No cloud. No hive mind. No robot cults. Just your assistant, your rules.

🦞 Lobster System Requirements (Read This Carefully)

This runs on Mac with Apple Silicon. Linux works too but I haven't tested Windows.
You need:

  • Apple Silicon Mac (M1, M2, M3, or M4)
  • Minimum 16GB unified memory (24GB or higher strongly recommended)
  • At least 15GB free disk space
  • macOS Sonoma or newer

If you show up with an Intel Mac or 8GB of RAM, you're gonna have a bad time. Check your specs before you come: Apple menu → About This Mac.

🦞 What To Bring To The Lobster Boil

A sense of humor, and mild existential dread. Lobster bibs optional. RSVP before the machines learn how to do it for you.

AI-led job searches shrink the hours spent sifting through boards and formatting resumes. DevFound pairs automation with your personal outreach, so you reserve energy for interviews and negotiation. Traditional networking still matters, but AI gives you a lift before you even send a message.

Modern AI roles expect comfort with production-grade code, data fluency, and practical ML tooling. The strongest candidates pair deep technical chops with storytelling—translating model impact to product, GTM, and exec partners. Continuous learning keeps you ahead as stacks evolve.

DevFound rewards active seekers. Keep your profile fresh, respond to match quality prompts, and enable alerts so you never miss a role. The AI prioritizes companies and teams that align with your feedback, accelerating both introductions and interview invites.

High-density tech hubs continue to host the deepest AI talent pools, yet distributed teams are catching up fast. Use DevFound filters to hone in on onsite, hybrid, or fully remote roles and watch openings expand across time zones.

DevFound aggregates thousands of remote AI openings and flags the nuances—core hours, async culture, and visa needs—up front. The Copilot also recommends how to position your distributed work experience so hiring managers know you can thrive on a remote team.
