Thomas Wurm: The Hidden Beliefs Running Your Life—and How to Release Them
Listen to episode
About this episode
Thomas Wurm spent 14 years as a wildland firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service—sixteen-hour shifts, temperatures reaching 130 degrees, physical and mental stress equivalent to riding the Tour de France every single day . He thought that was strength. Then his captain and best friend died suddenly . The grief manifested as mystery illness symptoms, debilitating anxiety, and a Kundalini awakening that blew up his life .
Today, he is a Master Practitioner of NLP, Hypnosis, and Mental & Emotional Release® (MER®), a Qigong Instructor, and a practitioner of Hawaiian Energy Healing Arts . He has worked with clients in five countries and authored four books . His work helps people understand how core beliefs, nervous-system overload, and unresolved trauma shape their lives—and what becomes possible when the root pattern is finally cleared .
What makes this conversation different:
This isn't another "trauma recovery" episode. It's a conversation about why the body holds what the mind tries to manage, how core beliefs drive self-sabotage, and what it actually looks like to release generational patterns that keep people stuck .
What we explore in this conversation:
· What it's really like to be a wildland firefighter—and what that culture does to a man's nervous system
· The sudden loss of his captain and best friend—and the healing crisis that followed
· How the body manifests what the mind suppresses
· The Kundalini experience that blew up his life and what it taught him
· Why many people feel like they're unraveling when they're actually healing
· The unconscious beliefs that drive self-sabotage and keep people stuck
· What it actually feels like when someone finally gets to the root of their issue
· How unresolved emotional patterns create chronic pain and tension
· Why women often carry a quiet fear around their own power—and how it gets stored
· What becomes possible when the root pattern is finally cleared
